WP.2 Field Studies Tunisia

Related assumptions and risks: It has to be noticed that the education system in Tunisia is highly integrated on the level of national administration. The ministry of HE are responsible for any changes to be made. This implies that the ministry of HE has to be partner in the project, and need to be integrated in the project from the very beginning.

Description of work package: The current state of certification of diploma in the fields of engineering and languages in Tunisia will be described and analysed in terms of standards, processes and actors. In order to facilitate a comparison with the European system the analysis will be based on an agreed common set of criteria (geared to European standards). The study will especially focus on the following aspects:

Institutional/System level:

  • the institutional design of HE
  • the actors

Programme level:

  • the given curricula in languages and in engineering

Quality Assurance:

  • given institutions/systems and processes/tools of quality management and quality assurance.

As a second step, based on requests of public authorities and HEI, the specific needs for a certification approach have to be identified in terms of institutional and process designs.
